Using Google Analytics is a great way to accurately track visits to your website. Google Analytics provides users with critical website statistics including bounce rates, unique visits, page visits, time spent on site and much more.
One extremely useful feature in Google Analytics is the ability to track your website visits by the hour. Knowing exactly how your website traffic fluctuates throughout the day can be helpful in many ways; especially when dealing with high-traffic websites.
For starters, knowing when your website experiences a drop in visits can be useful for planning updates, fixing glitches, and manipulating design elements. Similarly, knowing when your website experiences the most visits can be helpful when adding posts/content, sending email advertisements and more.
1.Select Visitor Tracking | Visits from the menu on left
2.On the right, locate and click the clock icon
This Google Analytics screen shot demonstrates just how easy it is to track your website visitors by the hour. Simply follow the steps and track your visits by the hour on any given day. Thanks to our fellow Nerd, Duke, for posting the original article on Google Analytics Hours of Day which you can check out on 1048576.com.
The Nerds of 555 have officially dubbed December 30th, “Annual Tie Day.” The ties were provided to the crew by Duke. They ranged in all patterns and colors from red and blue striped to fluorescent yellow. Each Nerd tied their own tie and wore it during the daily scrum ritual. There were many different styles of tying from Chad’s clip-on bow-tie to Jason’s knot technique.
The Nerds said that they don’t personally have any “hang-ups” about ties. They later claimed, “This is not about being Anti-Tie.” In fact, the Nerds hope that the trend they’ve set with Annual Tie Day will be widely embraced. They committed to keeping the observance alive next year in 2010 and are convinced that offices all across the US will also be participating in next year’s festivities.
